Study Related Activities Committee

The study related activities committee organises the study related activities within Versot. Examples of activities the committee has organised are visits to the House of Representatives of the Netherlands or the local authority. The committee offers students a chance to bring sociology into practice. The goal of these activities is to provide information to members, to improve their understanding. The activities are always a lot of fun and we usually conclude the activity with a drink (or two)!

Relaxed Activitees Committee

The Relaxed Activities Committee organizes the informal activities within Versot and provides some relaxation for our members between all the studying hours. Some successful activities such as the New Year’s Gala, the Quiznight and the Beercantus are just some examples of the activities that are held every year. This committee is known for its convivial committee members who are always in for a party. With their enthusiasm, they always succeed to make the best out of every activity!

Intro Camp Committee

The Intro Camp Committee is a fun committee, but above all it’s one of Versot’s most important committees. This committee not only takes care of the intro camp for the first year students, but also organizes the faculty days in the TOP-week (former TIK-week). All of this is being done to get as many first year students as possible acquainted with Versot. The fun part about this committee is creating an entertaining weekend together with a well thought out theme. Nothing is mandatory and everything is about having fun together.

Promotion Committee

Every activity organized by Versot, even when it’s a relaxed activity or an activity focused on the study program, has to be promoted correctly. For this reason we introduced the Versot Promotion Committee. This committee designs all posters for every activity that Versot organizes and makes sure that these posters are spread out across campus to keep everyone updated about the upcoming activities. Furthermore, this committee is responsible for making the movies for the intro camp, the members weekend and the Versot travel. A great, important, and above all, creative committee within Versot!

Newsletter Committee

This committee makes the Versot newsletter every four times a year: The Versotte Courant. The committee members make sure that there are a lot of nice reports of the activities that have taken place in the last period, so that the other members who weren’t there are still able to get a nice impression of the activity. Next to that, the newsletter adds different columns with news from the society, a word of someone from the committee and someone of the board adds a sign of life from their side.
